In 2018, RPK together with our subconsultants were selected to implement the infrastructure necessary to facilitate the Electric Bus Testing Program at an existing facility. We are proud to have been part of the implementation process for this green technology. Through collaboration with industry experts, it is our understanding that the implemented charging system was a world leader and may have been the first installation of pantograph charging technology in an existing active transit facility.

As a renovation, the team had to carefully consider the impacts to existing and future infrastructure as well as day to day operations.
