Three 12-unit supportive housing buildings were recently designed and built for three adjacent lots at 16022, 10626, 16030 – 100 Avenue.  Each of these 3 storey buildings consist of a shared kitchen, living room and common space on the main floor, and 6 units on each upper floor.  These three homes now provide space for Jasper Place Wellness’ Bridge Healing program for 36 residents. This program provides temporary transitional housing while the residents get access to social programming such as income support, searching for employment or access to a family doctor. The intent is to see the residents eventually move to their own homes. The Glenwood Place project is the first of its kind in the city and more projects are underway to replicate the concept near transit and LRT throughout Edmonton.
