Situated in Edmonton’s River Valley, William Hawrelak Park attracts visitors year round.  Its infrastructure (including the Amphitheatre, paddle boat operation, washrooms, picnic shelters, trails and pathways) is mostly original to the park and in need of some revitalization.

RPK and ISL Engineering were hired by the City to develop a 10 Year Capital Investment Plan.  Following the evaluation of the existing infrastructure, a plan to coordinate the rehabilitation of the open space, the facilities, and the transportation assets was devised.  As part of the work, consideration was given to enhance public safety, as well as the connectivity and functionality of all circulation routes.
